What a great Dim Sum place! This is my go-to when I am in Houston and the flavors never disappoint. We currently live in the PNW and frequently go to Vancouver BC for dim sum since it is one of the best, so to find a place that can match that flavor is always a huge plus. Though I still wish the tea was free (like in our local places), the plates are reasonably priced. Even though the place is very big, if you don't arrive at a reasonable hour, you will be waiting for a table. The service is very friendly and very happy to provide you with recommendations. Come hungry!

This review is years overdue, it's one of the OG dim sum places in Houston and glad that it's made it through some tough times. It's honestly one of my favorite places to go for Sunday morning dim sum. We had some out of town guests come in recently and they needed to leave early and ocean palace opens at 10 am!!! Most other places in town are 11 am. Upon walking in I was greeted by a familiar face, Jackie! He always is welcoming! Upon getting seated we ordered a mixture of dim sum and family style dishes. Everything was delicious, especially the special salt ribs and the siu mai. In addition to their dim sum they have a huge upstairs area where we have hosted various events from rodeo dinner dances to Asian chamber luncheons, it truly is a wonderful venue!!!

Service is super fast! Dim Sum is what I come here for and it's so good and savory. The har gow and xiu mai are favorites! The bbq pork oven baked buns are mouth watering and the entree portions are great sharing sizes. If you go on the weekend, there are ladies just pushing dim sum carts around for you to pick out what you want. No waiting.
